What to know for your 2026 holiday
We’re just about to step into 2026 and we’ve got a sneaking suspicion it’s going to be the best holiday season yet. But before we start mentally packing those suitcases, here are some tips for ensuring your big break is a huge success!
Tip 1: book smart
Booking your break sooner rather than later has a number of perks. Firstly – and most importantly – you get the top pick of accommodation and on the dates you really want. You’d be surprised how quickly the top spots get snapped up, so don’t wait around!
Secondly, by booking in advance you can take advantage of our low deposit and payment plans. This means you can secure your break and start focusing on all the good stuff.
Tip 2: plan your activities
When you download the John Fowler On Park app, not only do you have your booking and park information at your fingertips, but you can view the entertainment during your stay and book those all-important activities!
Some activities are payable in advance and other activities offered are free but still bookable in advance. It’s worth doing to make sure everyone can do what they love on their holiday.

Tip 3: what to bring
There can be a lot to remember when you're packing to come away on holiday, so here's a handy checklist of some holiday essentials:
- Your booking confirmation (on your phone or paper copy)
- Towels and tea towels
- Dishcloths and washing up liquid
- Oven gloves
- Toiletries and extra loo roll
- Oil and condiments for cooking
If you arrive early, feel free to use one of our swimming pools while we get your accommodation ready for your designated check in time. So make sure you pack your swimmers on top!
Tip 4: four-legged friends
If you're bringing a dog, don't forget that an extra charge is payable at the time of booking and only pet-friendly accommodation can be booked.
All of our parks have dog waste bins and water stations available around the park, but don’t forget to bring poo bags and your scoop.
Certain areas of our parks are dog-friendly, so please look for signage or chat to a friendly member of staff if you’re unsure.
Tip 5: have fun!
This goes without saying, but we know what it’s like planning for the whole family to go away. Make sure you take some time to really relax and enjoy yourselves. Our parks have all you need to make your stay easier, from on-park shops to restaurants, arcades, pools and kids’ play areas, as well as being on the doorstep of some of the most stunning areas in the UK of course.
